The Earl, most likely built in 1910, is a former lodge hall, owned in 1924 by the Pythian Temple Association, according to the Maine Historical Society; check out an assessment and picture circa 1924. There are 29 units in the five-story building: a combination of studio, loft and one bedroom apartments, as well as one two-bedroom unit. Rents include heat, hot water, and water/sewer, as well as access to coin-op laundry and trash/recycling removal. Most of the apartments have an open-concept style. The five modern loft apartments on the first floor were built on top of an old basketball court.
