It extends up to the north past the Lower Hillsborough Wilderness Preserve and then down to the south towards the MacDill Air Force Base. There are a number of areas within that range, each with its own unique character. These include New Tampa, an area far to the north that includes Pebble Creek and Tampa Palms, a dense downtown, consisting of several distinct neighborhoods situated between the Hillsborough and McKay Bays, and South Tampa, a peninsula extending down into Tampa Bay with a variety of bayside and inland housing options.
Major highways run into the city coming from Orlando in the northeast and from the Fort Myers and Cape Coral metro area in the south. There are also cross-state options, such as Highway 64, for those coming up from Southeastern Florida. A number of regional and international airports that service the metro area, the largest of which are the St. Pete Clearwater airport on the west side of Old Tampa Bay and the Tampa International Airport right northwest of the downtown area.
Tampa is the major economic center for the region, along with its neighbors in the same metro area. Of course, it also offers many of the types of amenities found in smaller Florida communities, such as golf courses, aquatic recreation and opportunities for natural exploration. The boating community is especially strong in the communities along the bay, such as Beach Park, Stoney point and Belmar Shore. Those with a more maritime mindset should start the search on the east side of South Tampa or Davis and Harbour islands just south of downtown.
Of course, a private dock isn't necessary to enjoy the water in this city. On the west side of South Tampa, there's a popular and picturesque walkaway all along Bayshore Boulevard, featuring prominently in the lives of residents of communities such as Bayshore Beautiful and Bayshore Gardens. Hyde Park, just south of the University of Tampa and across the river from downtown, is also home to many of the city's most distinguished historical architecture. The most developed area of Tampa is right across the bridges from the university, with many condo high-rises and office skyscrapers between Ashley Drive and Jefferson Street. There is also some significant high-rise development across the Garrison Channel in Harbour Island.
As a major economic center and diverse community, the city has something to offer any type of buyer. People love living in Tampa for the connection to nature, the presence of major employers downtown, a wide range of recreational opportunities and the pleasant, subtropical weather. Tampa's Tom Brady Tops List of NFL Quarterbacks Ranked by Playoff Performance
Which quarterback has had the best playoff performance of all time? Does playoff performance dictate who’s the best quarterback in the NFL? From playoff wins to passing yards and interceptions, there’s much to consider when looking at NFL playoff records. We created the NFL Quarterback Playoff Performance Index in order to determine which quarterback had the best showing in playoff games.
To compile our Index, we looked at the playoff wins as a starting quarterback, win percentage, passing yards, passing touchdowns, passes intercepted, passes completed, pass attempts, and passer rating for NFL starting QBs with at least two playoff wins. Playoff wins were quadruple-weighted, and all other statistics were weighted normally. Which NFL quarterback came out on top?

Quarterbacks With the Best Playoff Performance
For anyone who is even a casual football fan, it should come as no surprise that Tom Brady tops the list. Tom Brady’s playoff record is impressive. In his 20 years with the New England Patriots, Brady helped the team achieve 30 playoff wins, the most wins for a QB in the playoffs in history. His passing yards, attempts, and touchdowns are leagues ahead of anyone else in the NFL. He already has six Super Bowl wins; it would be quite a feat for him to bring his new team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, to Super Bowl LV at their home stadium.
Second on the list is NFL Hall of Famer Joe Montana. With a stunning four Super Bowl wins and 16 playoff wins, his playoff performance was extraordinary. He led the San Francisco 49ers to four Super Bowl wins and was the first player ever to be named Super Bowl MVP three times. While his legacy will always be tied to the 49ers, he also had playoff success once he was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Coming in third is Peyton Manning. The majority of his playoff success came from his tenure as starting quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, but he also found playoff success with the Denver Broncos. He is second only to Tom Brady in playoff passing yards, passes completed, and pass attempts. He also ranks fifth for most playoff wins and fourth for playoff touchdowns.
The following are the top 10 quarterbacks on the list and their NFL Quarterback Playoff Performance Index scores:
- Tom Brady: 1036.17
- Joe Montana: 648.43
- Peyton Manning: 643.26
- Brett Favre: 583.53
- Ben Roethlisberger: 555.79
- John Elway: 555.52
- Aaron Rodgers: 644.09
- Terry Bradshaw: 521.47
- Drew Brees: 502.56
- Troy Aikman: 500.61
There’s no denying that these quarterbacks have had impressive NFL playoff results. Many are already in the Hall of Fame, and the ones who aren’t likely will be soon. It will be interesting to see how well the active players do to improve their playoff performance statistics in the coming years.
Tom Brady to Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Will His Stats Keep Climbing?
On March 20, 2020, Tom Brady took millions of Patriots fans by surprise when he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He had been with the Patriots for 20 years and was beloved by their fans, helping the team win six Super Bowls. While the Brady to Bucs news was hard on the Patriots and their fans, they wished him well by posting billboards outside of Gillette Stadium thanking him for all he’s done for the team.
Bucs Nation was in for another surprise when Rob Gronkowski, Brady’s former teammate on the Patriots, came out of retirement to sign with the Tampa Bucs. The head coach of the Buccaneers, Bruce Arians, said Brady was instrumental in getting Gronkowski onto the team. It will certainly be an exciting season for Tampa Bay football.
