Reynoldstown is a historic district in Atlanta. It is believed that the neighborhood was named in honor of two of the first ex-slaves, Madison and Sarah Reynolds, to move to the area following the Civil War. Reynoldstown has an active neighbors association that hosts events in the area such as street clean-ups and youth programs.
The area is currently going through a lot of changes including an influx of artists and other young professionals. With the diversity in residents, comes diversity in the types of housing as well. In addition to the small cottages that are characteristic of the neighborhood, many modern style homes and lofts now scatter the landscape. Reynoldstown will continue to grow along with the popularity of the intown Atlanta lifestyle.
