San Diego's Most Walkable Neighborhoods

San Diego is one of the most exciting places to live in California. Set among some of the most amazing natural wonders in the state, its residents are spoiled by the beauty of the land and the convenience that comes with city living. In addition, the local government is always developing new ways to improve infrastructure to create a town that is rich in resources and amenities.

If you look around, you'll notice that the city has been committed to improving the walkability of almost every neighborhood. However, there are some areas that are head and shoulders above the rest for those who want the healthy, convenient lifestyle a car-free address can enable. Here are the top two neighborhoods you'll want to buy in if you are looking to spend less time in the car and more time enjoying life.

Little Italy

As you might expect from the name, Little Italy is brimming with old-world charm. The neighborhood is is full of restaurants, local breweries, speakeasies, and shops all alongside established local institutions. A late-night drink, a day at the beach, or a even just a trip to the pharmacy: Living in Little Italy, San Diego, means that everything you need is within walking distance.

Our two favorite buildings in Little Italy are Aperture and La Vita  because of their great locations, cool units and low association fees.

East Village

You may know East Village, San Diego, as home to venues such as Petco Park and Quartyard, but it's also home to some of the city's most distinctive condos. The Legend is a baseball lover's full-amenity dream that you'll have to see to believe. The Metropolitan Club sits atop the Omni Hotel with access to world-class services, supreme luxury and ocean views.

Whether a relaxed stroll through the farmer's market in Little Italy or a blowout Petco Park event in East Village suits your style, San Diego has something for you. Didn't see what you what you were looking for? Be sure to check out all the San Diego condo listings here.
