Are you planning on loading up the car to go look at Christmas lights this year? Here is a list of must-see light displays that are guaranteed to get you in the holiday spirit!
- SUNDANCE SQUARE
Nestled right in the heart of downtown Fort Worth, Sundance Square has something for everyone. Stroll through the plaza and enjoy all the lights and the 65-foot Christmas tree with over 6,000 LED lights! Take a picture with Santa for only $20! Your $20 donation goes to the Fort Worth Sister Cities International youth program. Do you want to make your memories even more special? Take a horse drawn carriage ride through downtown. Carriage rides start in front of the Worthington Hotel and are available on Saturdays and Sundays lasting 20 minutes, the cost is $45 per couple.
- TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
The gift of lights display at Texas Motor Speedway is a sight to behold! For $25 per car you can drive through over 2 miles of lights adorning over 600 light displays. With proceeds benefiting local charities in North Texas. Once you finish driving through the park stop off at Santa’s Village for photos and fun! The gift of lights is open seven days a week from 6pm-10pm.
- WEST 7TH
Stroll through the West 7th area and enjoy their Starlight Symphony, a 5-minute light show on Crockett Street every hour on the hour from 6pm-10pm. While you are there you can enjoy free horse drawn carriage rides on Friday and Saturday from 6pm-9pm. Pick up is on Crockett Row at West 7th, but arrive early because the lines get long fast!
- RIDGLEA AREA
The Christmas lights are beautiful and the homes are too! From Interstate 30 go South on Ridglea Avenue and you are in the neighborhood. In Ridglea Hills be sure to check out Luther Lake and get ready to Ooohhhh and aaaahhhhh over the light displays bouncing off the water! The best place to see the light display on Luther Lake is where Clayton Rd. E turns into Clayton Rd. W.
Although the house on the corner has scaled back, there is still a lot this prestigious neighborhood has to offer! The tree-lined roads and gorgeous homes that have been beautifully decorated won’t disappoint.
- RYAN PLACE
Nestled in between 8th Avenue and Lipscomb Street, the historic charm and grandeur that began in 1911 just adds to the beautifully decorated homes for Christmas.
Each year this neighborhood decks the halls and wants everyone to come to their annual Festivus celebration. Festivus will be held on December 12th from 5:30-8:30 starting at Kent and Co. 1309 S. Adams. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children. There will be a holiday bus tour through the neighborhood to look at the lights as well as fun activities, refreshments, and hot chocolate!
