What are they building near downtown Fort Worth?
If you drive on 35W we know you have been stuck in traffic, you may have noticed some construction on the southeast corner of 35W and 121 on East 4th Street. You have probably wondered what that curved structure is going to be, well that structure is the much anticipated Topgolf!
The complex will be 65,000 square feet that will include their famous interactive driving range with 102 hitting bays that can hold up to six players at once, a place for lounging to enjoy a cold drink, and 3,000 square feet for meetings or private events such as birthdays.
Topgolf is an upscale premier golf entertainment complex that welcomes players of all skill levels whether you are a beginner or a pro! Players hit the ball at driving range targets, each golf ball is micro-chipped to track their accuracy and distance then awarded points for hitting targets in the outfield. The lounge area has a from-scratch food menu that will satisfy anyone's pallet, live bands, and never miss a game with more than 300 flat-screen TVs. Prices for one hour of bay time ranges from $20 to $40. They also have Memberships available for the golf enthusiast in your life.
The company was founded 16 years ago in the U.K. by brothers Steve and Dave Jolliffe and opened its first U.S. location in 2005. They currently have 29 locations worldwide including our neighboring cities Allen, Dallas, and The Colony. Topgolf plans on expanding to Charlotte, North Carolina, Nashville, Tennessee, and Orlando, Florida just to name a few. Planned completion for the Fort Worth location is early spring 2017.
