One of Fort Worth’s most popular events is taking place April 14-17, the Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival. Taking up two city blocks in downtown Fort Worth, the four-day festival includes live music, food, kid-friendly activities, and of course, over two hundred featured artists showcasing their work. And best of all, admission is always free.
The main draw of the festival, the Fine Art Showcase, features 215 local, regional and national artists showcasing their work. Everything from sculpture to jewelry to glass and metalwork is on display, and whether you’re just browsing or looking to add to your art collection, there’s bound to be something you’ll love. When you’re not enjoying the art, make your way toward one of the three stages featuring hundreds of performers throughout the four-day event. There’s even a “Locals Only” stage and a Fort Worth Singer-Songwriter performance area, both featuring Fort Worth-area musicians.
Grab some food and beverage coupons – either at one of several booths or in advance on the festival’s website – and enjoy a multitude of festival food options from local restaurants, from turkey legs to funnel cake to Cuban sandwiches and many, many more. And with the Craft Brew Garden serving up both national and local pints, and times ten cellar’s Wine Experience tent offering seated wine tastings (reservations required), there’s plenty to drink, too.
