The historic Kress Lofts building in downtown Fort Worth has been purchased and I had the opportunity to meet with the new owner to discuss his plans for the future.
The historic Kress building was built by H.S. Kress and Co. in 1896. The Fort Worth building was one of over 250 five-and-dime buildings built by the company between 1896 and 1955. The building features the Art Deco style found in many of Fort Worth’s historic downtown buildings.

Currently the Kress building offers open concept loft spaces for lease from 867 square foot to 1,144 square feet on the floors above their ground floor retail. Many of you will remember this building because it is also home to the Fox and Hound English Pub and Grille. The new owners Nortex Realty of Wichita Falls plans to clean up the common spaces of the interior with a newly designed entry and hallways and possibly add a roof-top amenities deck. Also in the works is the possibility of live-work spaces on the second floor.
This building has amazing character, a stellar location and many amenities. Please let me know if you would like more information on the Kress Lofts.
