Hawaii Home Foreclosures Fall in April

According to "The Republic" and the "Honolulu Star Advertiser", "Hawaii home foreclosures continued to fall in April for the fifth consecutive month."

"The Honolulu Star-Advertiser" reported Thursday the decline is attributed to several major lenders holding back on new filings after loan documentation practices were called into question."

"Real estate research firm RealtyTrac says was a 33 percent decrease in Hawaii filings from a year earlier."

"Oahu had the most at 448 but the lowest rate at one for every 755 households."
