If you have ever gone down Ocean Drive, you have either passed it or took a picture standing in front. 1116 Ocean Drive or famously known as The Versace Mansion, was listed in June 2012 for $125,000,000 by Coldwell Banker and is now reduced to $75,000,000 per the MLS. This property will be sold at a bankruptcy auction September 17th according to Lamar Fisher of Fisher Auction, Co. This 10 bedroom/ 11 bathroom home features over 23,000 square feet, a gold lined pool and stands to be a piece of history that Miami Beach residents and guests will treasure for many years to come.

Gianni Versace helped put South Beach back on the map in the 1980's when you would see high fashion photo shots every morning. You could have often passed Gianni walking from his home on Ocean Drive to have breakfast at News Cafe. His former home on Ocean Drive, at one time was listed at $125,000,000. It now up for auction.  If you want to bid, it's easy.  You only need to bring a cashiers check for $3,000,000 and show a liquid net worth of $40,000,000.

The front steps were the location of his death when shot by a stalker on July 15, 1997.  The Versace family does not currently own the property.  It is the only single family residence located on Ocean Drive.
