With booths manned by the very people who produced the items they’re selling, it’s the most hands-on way to truly “shop local”. And Fort Worth, like most large cities, is home to several farmer’s markets. Below is our list of six local markets where you can find the best goods that Fort Worth has to offer.
Cowtown Farmer’s Market
Open Saturdays 8 AM-12 PM

Located just next to the Highway 377 traffic circle and Camp Bowie Boulevard, the Cowtown Farmer’s Market is a weekly fixture on Fort Worth’s west side. Farmers from B and G Farms, Turley’s Fruit and Veggie Farm and more, as well as artisans like Hippie Notions, set up their booths for visitors every Saturday. The market also hosts a monthly festival, with food, live music and activities for all ages. The market’s Facebook page is regularly updated with news about upcoming vendors and events.
West 7th Farmer’s Market
Open Thursdays 4-7 PM
2913 Crockett St
A rotating variety of vendors sets up shop every Thursday afternoon between Waters Coastal Cuisine and Dude, Sweet Chocolate in Fort Worth’s West 7th neighborhood. Everything from fresh produce to pies to tamales to artisan perfume is offered from local vendors like Frankie’s Fresh Foods and Kendra’s Kreations, all with live music to set the mood. Located in Haltom City, this market offers nuts, fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs, as well as indoor and outdoor plants. Precut fruits and veggies are available, as well as fruit baskets for all occasions.
Handley Farmer’s Market

East Fort Worth’s own farmer’s market is located in historic Downtown Handley, and provides space to local vendors like Amy’s Homemade Gifts, Charmed I’m Sure, and Mrs. Byrd’s Granola. You can expect to find farm-fresh eggs and homemade pickles and jams, as well as artisan goods like jewelry, soaps, and bath products.
Ridgmar Farmer’s Market

Located across the street from Ridgmar Mall, Ridgmar Farmer’s Market is open daily to customers, offering a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables from local farmers. Locally made preserves, pickles and jams, and jarred and bottled sauces are also available.
