October is here, and with it comes fall festivals, pumpkin patches, crisp cool weather and the outdoors. We have compiled a list of some fall festivities for you and your family to enjoy.

Fall Festivities

Sept. 23-Nov. 22 Autumn at the Arboretum. Open daily from 9:00am-5:00pm. This year is their 12th annual Autumn at the Arboretum, using over 90,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash to create a nationally recognized pumpkin village. This year’s theme is the Wonderful World of Oz. In addition to the pumpkin village guests can enjoy a haybale maze, the gorgeous fall foliage, and a pumpkin patch. For more information please visit

Sept. 29th-Oct. 22nd The State Fair of Texas is open daily from 7:00am-9:00pm and 10:00pm Fridays and Saturdays. Guests can enjoy live music, carnival games, rides, all the fried foods a person can want, football games and so much more. For a full list of events, concerts, games, and entertainment please visit

Oct. 6th-8th 21st Annual After Dark in the Park at River Legacy Park in Arlington from 5:00pm-9:00pm. There will be a pumpkin patch, storytelling, bounce houses, food vendors, nature at night trail and much more. Admission is $8 per person ages 3 and up. Oct. 7th Calloway’s annual fall festival will be held at all Calloway’s locations from 9:00am-7:00pm. There will be pumpkin pie decorating, super heroes and princesses, pumpkin patch photo opportunities, and much more. Admission is free. For a full list of locations please visit

Oct. 21st Annual Ennis Autumn Daze in downtown Ennis from 9:00am-3:00pm. Guests will enjoy live music, children’s activities, great food and more. Admission is free. For more information please visit

Oct. 27th-29th Boo at the Zoo daily from 10:00am-5:00pm. This event is free with Zoo admission. Guest will enjoy treat stations and carnival games. Oct. 31st Treat Street at Stockyards Station Halloween night from 5:00pm-7:00pm. There will be trick or treating, costume contest, pumpkin decorating, games, and hayrides. Admission is free. For a schedule of events please visit
