Two exciting real estate projects are underway near Fort Worth’s Trinity Trails. One is Waterside, a multi-use development currently under construction on Bryant Irvin Road. Expected to open in early 2016, it promises to be a unique retail and residential community for southwest Fort Worth.
Whole Foods and REI will be opening their first Fort Worth locations as part of the development, along with dining options such as Zoe's Kitchen, Taco Diner and Blaze Fast Fire'd Pizza. In addition to retail and dining, plans are in place for 20 acres of townhomes and multi-family residences, 20,000 square feet of office spaces, and a hotel.
And not far from Waterside’s future home is Edwards Ranch, where a similarly expansive development is coming together – Clearfork. Located on the Trinity River and with direct access to the Chisolm Trail Parkway, Clearfork is a 270-acre mixed-use development with space for retail, restaurants, offices and entertainment. A staggering 2 million square feet of office space and 1.2 million square feet of retail space are planned, as well as 2500 multi-family residences.
Some pieces of the development are now open, including the Forest Park Medical Center, the Trailhead health and leisure center, and the Heart of the Ranch entertainment venue. Still in development are the Shops at Clearfork, an open-air shopping center made up of dozens of high-end retailers and dining options, including a two-story Neiman Marcus store expected to open in spring 2017.
Between these two developments, southwest Fort Worth will be seeing quite a bit of exciting expansion. These two developments are worth keeping an eye on.
