Sadly, I was out of town for this, but based on all the Facebook posts and vibrant press, it was a resounding success!
On Thursday evening, November 13th, the Waller Creek Conservancy began the first of many efforts to highlight its forthcoming renovation by inviting local architects and designers to create temporary installations that lit up the creek between 5th and 9th Streets. Baldridge Architects, Thoughtbarn, Jason Sowel and Legge Lewis Legge each contributed work.

Waller Creek marks downtown's original eastern boundary as conceived by Edwin Waller, whose name it bears. Check out the Conservancy's vision to make the long-neglected creek a cultural and ecological backbone linking parks and people-friendly spaces from Lady Bird Lake to UT.
