David Porter, the developer of City Place in downtown Fort Worth, talked with www.highrises.com recently about City Place's plans to move forward with the retail portion of their project. Porter stated that the development is planning to move from north to south, with the commercial tower to the north to be completed by the end of 2007. Next, Porter and his team plan to add a great deal of retail space to downtown Fort Worth in the middle block of City Place, as well as additional parking in the form of a garage. Also, they will be opening up Second street. The residential condos called "One" City Place will most likely not be marketed until the end of 2008. One City Place condos are planned to start out below $200,000 and have spaces beginning in the 700 square foot range.
