6 Options for Dining Out on Christmas Day

Christmas is a day when choices for dining out are slightly limited. But for those whose holiday traditions don’t include staying in for the night, there are some options. Here is our short list of six Fort Worth-area restaurants that are keeping their doors open on Christmas Day. Reservations are highly recommended!

Cast Iron
Located inside the downtown Fort Worth Omni Hotel, Cast Iron is an upscale Southern restaurant with an emphasis on local ingredients. Open for both brunch and a multi-course dinner Christmas Day, Cast Iron’s special holiday menus include such dishes as slow-roasted prime rib, Texas bouillabaisse, and a variety of festive desserts.

Bird Café
Located in Sundance Square, Bird Café is a gastropub with a focus on small plates and a seasonal, locally-provided menu. With offerings such as pork osso bucco, rabbit pot pie, a variety of mussels, and crispy chicken skin chips, this is a unique eatery with something for everyone.

Mercury Chop House
Sundance Square’s Mercury Chop House offers fine cuisine in a warm, relaxed environment. With a menu offering a variety of dishes including steaks, pork and lamb chops, and several types of seafood, there’s something to make everyone in your dinner party happy.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House
Ruth’s Chris is an upscale steak house known nationwide for quality, and their Main Street location is no different. Choose from one of their signature steaks, stuffed chicken breast, or lamb chops, or order up a holiday surf & turf.

R Bar & Grill
Located adjacent to the Hilton Arlington Hotel, R Bar & Grill puts a contemporary spin on classic Texas flavors. Their special multi-course Christmas menu includes butternut squash soup, slow-roasted prime rib, Cajun shrimp skewers, and apple strudel. An a la carte menu will also be available.
