Derek is an East Bay native, only leaving the area briefly to finish his education. He graduated from the University of California, Davis, receiving a degree in Rhetoric and Communications. Thereafter, he graduated with honors from JFK School of Law. `

In addition to representing individual property owners and buyers in the sale and purchase of real estate throughout the Bay Area, part of Derek’s focus is the successful marketing of multiple units for developers throughout Oakland. In 2008 when the market was at one of its lowest points, Derek successfully marketed and sold the last nine remaining units at Temescal Station Urban Homes in the Temescal District of Oakland. In 2010, he marketed and sold Pop Junction Lofts, which was a brand new five-unit loft development in West Oakland.
