Walk Score is a unique application that assigns a number from 0 - 100 for the "walkability" of a particular address. The closer most necessary amenities are the higher the score. No points are awarded for anything that's over a mile away. For a building to have a score of over 90 there must be plenty of options for stores, restaurants, parks, schools, etc. very close by. So if you want to live in a walkable neighborhood then these buildings should be the first on your list.
