Fort Worth City Mangager Proponent of Mixed-Use Development and Rail

Leslie at the Fort Worth Business Press recently added an article about the goals of Fort Worth's new city mangager Dale Fisseler.

Fisseler is pushing for more urban renewal and mixed-use development. He hopes to see a rail line linking downtown Fort Worth with D/FW airport within the next 5 years. He also added that developments like So7 and Museum Place are exactly the type of developments he would like to encourage with appropriate "zoning and economic incentives."

“These are high-density projects [So7 and Museum Place]. That’s what you want to see,” Fisseler said. “Those are long-term investments and we think that’s the right way to go. These are sustainable developments. We’re trying to get some projects in where you don’t have to drive to get to your job, to your education.” -Dale Fisseler, Fort Worth City Manager
