Old Fourth Ward Condos
Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward neighborhood is most famous for being the birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King. The Old Fourth Ward is located just east of Downtown, west of the Inman Park, south of Virginia-Highland, and north of Grant Park. Because of its location, it is only a quick hop into downtown and easy access to most any part of the metro area via I-75/85, GA 400, and I-20. This part of town has been undergoing a renaissance since the mid-1990s, spurred on by development around City Hall East; Studioplex (on Auburn Avenue); and lots of new residential and commercial development on Highland Avenue. Included in the Old Fourth Ward Master Plan for new development, City Hall East (originally the Sears, Roebuck building), which sits at the boundary between the Old Fourth Ward and Midtown neighborhoods, is about to be redeveloped into a large new multi-use development known as Ponce Park. There are also new shops and restaurants along Edgewood with new projects always in the works.
Much of the real estate in Old Fourth Ward consists of single-family homes. You’ll get a lot for your money here and be able to watch as the neighborhood realizes its grand development plans.
