A 70-Story Condo Tower in.... Nashville? Believe it!

October 23rd, 2007 at 8:45 PM

It's called Signature Tower, and once completed, this 70-story tower will be one of the tallest residential buildings in the world.  To be built on the corner of 5th Avenue and Church Street, the $200-million high-rise was redesigned from its initial concept that was presented last November. That design by Chicago-based architect Lucien Lagrange, included mixed-use space with retail, residential and hotel components. The new concept, which was presented this evening at the Nashville Civic Design Center during its Urban Design Forum, was drawn up by Atlanta-based architect Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates.

Signature Tower is now slated to include 198 lofts starting at $150,000; 304 condominiums at $270,000; and 28 luxury penthouses priced in excess of $1 million. Square footage will vary from 770 square feet to 2,400 square feet.
